Tours

We have a selection of ways you can enjoy the Bonegilla Migrant Experience from pre-booked guided group tours, self guided tours including the Suitcase Trail tour, to a simple walk around the site.

All tours depart from the Welcome Centre.

Group travel

Pre-book a hosted tour with an experienced guide, who will answer your questions, and lead you through the buildings and exhibitions. 

Allow at least one hour for your visit.

Self-guided tour

Collect a self-guided tour map to explore the buildings and site.

Guided tour

If visiting during the Victorian and NSW school holidays you may be able to join our  guided tour.

Cost: $12 per adult, school age children $9. Family $32.

Children’s tour

If you’re visiting with your children, we recommend you utilise the Suitcase Trail

By using your smartphone, you can let them roam the site hunting for the suitcases full of treasures while learning about life at the centre.

A paper version is also available from the Welcome Centre.

School tours

Students can immerse themselves in the rich and varied history of the site and gain an insight into those who came through, what they encountered, and the contribution they made in building Australia.
