What to expect

Your first port of call at the Bonegilla Migrant Experience is the Welcome Centre, where staff can get you started on your tour of Block 19 and provide information on the history of the site and the people who came through it.

We have a range of tours available, all of which provide a rare opportunity to explore a collection of original buildings and to truly walk in the shoes of those migrants who made this their first Australian home.

Our Welcome Centre offers merchandise items for sale and light refreshments. We also have indoor and outdoor picnic areas and a fully equipped function room for hire.

During the Victorian and NSW school holidays in Spring, Summer and Autumn, individuals and small groups can join our 11am guided tours. No booking is required for these.

We offer lunches, workshops, music, art and cultural events and festivals. Our events and workshops are always changing so best to like our Facebook page, subscribe to our e-newsletter or check out what’s on.

Disabled access is available to most buildings.

The Bonegilla Migrant Experience e-newsletter presents the latest information on events, new publications, family reunions, holiday programs and site developments.
