The Tribute Wall is truly a people’s wall.
It is Block 19’s way of honouring the many migrants who came through the Bonegilla migrant centre. It is a way for us all to commemorate and celebrate the contributions of the over 300,000 migrants that lived here, to keep their stories alive and permanently mark our respect.
The Tribute Wall is about the migrants and their families. We are asking families to acknowledge their loved ones by helping to build a wall of memories.
Your family’s migrants can be among the 100’s to have already their names, countries of origin and years of arrival permanently engraved on specially designed medallions. These will be mounted on the Tribute Wall in the Beginning Place. It will be visited by people from all over the world.
The Tribute Wall will help to raise money needed to keep the site maintained and operational.
We look forward to sharing your loved ones’ stories.
