Bonegilla partnerships

The City of Wodonga, Parklands Albury Wodonga and AlburyCity are working in partnership with the Bonegilla Migrant Experience Advisory Committee to preserve and promote the Bonegilla Migrant Experience Heritage Park.

In 2009, these four partners submitted a successful application to the federal government's Jobs Fund to implement the following three objectives.

  • To realise heritage building conservation and restoration works and improved access to the heritage listed site (Parklands Albury-Wodonga).
  • To generate a semi-permanent, on-site exhibition, utilising the Bonegilla collection (AlburyCity).
  • To provide visitor staff and audience development programs at the site (City of Wodonga).

This website has been funded by the Jobs Fund.

The Jobs Fund project will be completed in September 2010, marking its closing stages with the launch of an onsite exhibition featuring interpretation panels of the site’s history.

The Bonegilla Migrant Experience Heritage Park would also like to thank the past assistance and support from the Victorian Multicultural Commission, and looks forward to working with the VMC in the future.
