So much sky explores memories of the physical setting of the Bonegilla Reception Centre that migrants endured: the heat, the cold, the sun, the flies, the open space, the sense of isolation and bareness, and the endless blue skies. Written by Dr Bruce Pennay, the online exhibition helps us to understand more about the migrants’ first impressions of Bonegilla and how they were trained to assimilate into the Australian way of life.
